    This photo is probably from an old issue of Jane's Fighting Ships (I'm not sure where I got it from).

            Hi Matt,

            I came across your post and remembered we had a nice one at the Navy Museum. This picture was taken around 1934-'35.

            Mind you, the name of the ship is Willebrord Snellius, not Willibrord Snellius.

              It is not much, but I have made a scan of a drawing found in a small book called "Do you know the the navy" 1936.
              Well, at least it is something.

                  Nicolaaas was a type error, but I did not notice before it was too late :D
                  Well to see the pics check the following:
                  If you use IE right click the IE icon
                  Click the advanced tab.
                  Check in the folder Multimedia (scrollng down) if all pic options are tacked. (Show pic etc) That might do the trick.
                  And you are very welcome.
                  Found some info on the Willedrord Snellius in a book Ships of the Royal Dutch Navy in WW2, by Chris Mark. (Dutch book)
                  Build at Fijenoord in 1928
                  Commisioned in 28 jan 1929
                  Dimensions 62.1 * 9.7 * 3.61
                  930 tons
                  Engine 525 hp
                  Max speed 10.5 knots
                  Crew 84 men
                  The ship was sinked by the crew on march, 6, 1942 at the Navy base Surabaja. It was blown up by the Japanese during the war , and most parts of the wreck were removed after the war. The last parts were removed in 1956/1957 .

                    That`s great, now i have 2 more photo`s for my album.
                    My grandfather sailed on it from 22-5-37 till 5-11-37 in the N.E.I.
